Freelance Graphic / Packaging Designer. August 2024 - Present

Creative Director / Packaging Designer. Cafféluxe. May 2020 - August 2024

• Designing eye-catching packaging, from conceptualisation stage using the Esko plugin with Adobe Illustrator to produce high end results showing print finishes such as hot stamping and UV varnish in a 3D visual.

• Creating reproduction-ready print files for local and international printing houses for large orders and for multiple international customers, to include die line, artwork and finishes as separate files or on separate pages.

• Proofing digital and physical artwork from printers before commencement of print production.

• Managing of social media for the Central Perk Instagram and Facebook accounts where we had a license from Warner Brothers to style our products to the F.R.I.E.N.D.S Television Series brand.

• Submitted projects to the Warner Brothers online portal for approval.

• Project managed our 2021 product photoshoot over 3 days for over 450 products.

• Assisted at the Anuga Exhibition in Cologne, Germany October 2021 where we showcased our branded products.

• Managed and mentored our Junior Designer and Head of Digital Designer.

Real Estate Photographer. Tyson Properties. May 2020 - Dec 2020 

• 6 month contract shooting properties in the Atlantic Seaboard and later Southern Suburbs areas.

• Worked for all the agents at both the Sea Point and Constantia branches, photographing their listings, from studios and 1 bedrooms to luxury mansions.​

• Shot between 4 and 6 homes per day and retouched all the selected images.

• Filming How To videos aimed at teachers to demonstrate the correct use of Edutrade’s products and providing lesson examples

• Animating graphics and implementing this into the above videos (Adobe Animate)

• Putting these videos together in Premiere Pro and exporting for YouTube, and TV display for office display and presentations as well as exhibitions

• Managed all online marketing and social media accounts for all 3 branches in Cape Town - Camps Bay, Sea Point and City Bowl - including Facebook page, Twitter, Pinterest, Google Plus, LinkedIn, the webpages and also the online weekly newsletter

• Co-ordinated the company's various exhibitions including its expo at a bazaar at Cape Town's German School

• Created video presentations for the expos showcasing the company's real estate properties

• Responsible for all print media such as business cards for staff, flyer and brochure design for all the agents and all the newspaper and magazine advertsproperty photography, staff photography and photo editing thereof

• Created an interactive user interface for an introductory course for staff of Toyota

 

Graphic Artist. Second Skins. November 2012 - July 2013

• Designed artwork in Corel Draw to be placed onto various sportswear garments for schools, clubs and companies, as well as for Second Skins itself

• Prepared the positives of the artwork to be screen printed

• Set up artwork for and operated the videoflex and vinyl cutting machine

• Designed a flyer raising awareness for a charity event

• Designed the flyer for the charity event's after party

• Designed the logo for the newly formed charity SUP 4 GOOD

• Designed posters and flyers advertising upcoming events at the club

• Managed and updated the club's website and Facebook page regarding posts, events and photos

• Managed all social networks for the club

• Handled all online marketing for events, including designing and scheduling of e-newsletters and sceduling of mobile text blasts 

• Designed mobile ads for the club to be advertised via Blutooth

• Created promotional videos to be shown online as well as on LED screens to advertise upcoming events

• Created Flash banners for various clients including Kia and Truworths

• Dabbled in Microsoft Silverlight in creating an expanding rich media ad to promote the Mass Effect 2 game launch by EA Games

• Using Adobe Captivate, constructed 9 different tutorials on how to use the Addynamo online system
